To Limit Our Sharing

Call Creighton Federal Credit Union at 402-341-2121 or toll free at 800-967-1477, or send an email to info@creightonfederal.org or notify us in writing by mailing your request to 2575 Dodge Street, Omaha, NE 68131. Please note: If you are a new member, we can begin sharing your information 30 days from the date you open your account. When you are no longer our member, we continue to share your information as described in this notice. However, you can contact us at any time to limit our sharing.

Q. How does Creighton Federal Credit Union protect my personal information?
A. To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards, secured files and buildings. We have an Information Security Program and a Code of Ethics. All employees are expected to abide by programs and policies established in an effort to protect member information.
We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus or other companies.

Q. How does Creighton Federal Credit Union collect my personal information?
A. We collect your personal information when you:

  • Open an account or deposit money
  • Pay your bills
  • Apply for a loan or credit card
  • Use your debit or credit card
  • Apply for other financial products or services

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus or other companies.

Q. Why can’t I limit all sharing?
A. Federal law gives you the right to limit only:

  • Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes - information about your creditworthiness
  • Use of your information by affiliates to market to you
  • Sharing for non-affiliates to market to you
  • State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

Definitions

Affiliates – Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and non-financial companies. Creighton Federal has no affiliates.

Non-affiliates – Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and non-financial companies. Creighton Federal does not share with non-affiliates so they can market to you.

Joint Marketing – Formal agreement between non-affiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you. Our joint marketing partners include:
