Lesson 1 - Why Your Credit Score is Important

Explains why a person’s credit score is one of the most important numbers attached to their name and identity.

The basis of your credit score – a number that indicates how likely you are to repay your debts – is based on your credit report. That report is a collection of information gathered from many sources about you and how responsibly you’ve handled debt. As the lesson says, like it or not someday you’re going to need credit – to buy a new or used vehicle or a house. Your credit score will have a lot to do with whether or not you get the credit you need, when you need it.
