Creighton Federal Credit Union Information Privacy Policy/Statement
Creighton Federal Credit Union is committed to making available financial products and services that can help members meet their financial needs and goals. Protecting personal information is a high priority for everyone associated with Creighton Federal Credit Union.

To ensure that members can rely upon the quality of products and services that we make available, Creighton Federal Credit Union has adopted this Information Privacy Policy Statement which will be provided to our members on an annual basis or as required by applicable regulatory requirements.

Creighton Federal Credit Union's Information Privacy Policy is distributed to all staff at the credit union. Our policy states that information provided to Creighton Federal Credit Union in the normal course of business will be held in the strictest of confidence. Unauthorized or illegal disclosure of your private information is a violation of our policy. Creighton Federal Credit Union may collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, and/or through our verification of this information;
  • Information about your transactions with us or others; and
  • Information we receive from a consumer- reporting agency.

We do not disclose any nonpublic information about you to anyone, except as permitted or required by law.

If you decide to terminate your membership or become an inactive member, we will adhere to the privacy policies and practices as described in this privacy statement.

Creighton Federal Credit Union restricts access to your personal and account information to those employees who need this information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to comply with applicable state and federal regulations to protect your nonpublic personal information.

Our credit union will only share information when absolutely necessary. We will only share information to administer the products and services we provide, or when required to do so by the government, or when we partner with other businesses with whom we have joint marketing agreements to provide a broader array of products and services.

Our credit union will partner only with businesses that follow strict confidentiality requirements. The businesses we select will offer products designed to enhance our members' economic well being. Under no circumstances will we authorize these firms to charge your account without your express consent, and we will not sell your personal information to outside organizations. Member Identification Program ( Important information about opening a new account)
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism, money laundering, and other illegal activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account, or is being added to an existing account.

What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, social security number, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We will also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying document, and we will retain a copy of it.
